Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your SystmOnline account (on the SystmOnline website)
  • phone us on 01733 371452, Monday to Friday, when we are open

At the surgery we offer some appointments outside of normal surgery hours...

Extended hours are provided by the Greater Peterborough Network. The surgery are able to book appointments out of hours and weekends - this is dependant on appointments available. Visit Greater Peterborough Network website to find out more.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you have a Mental Health Crisis and needs help please contact the Crisis Team on 111 option 2 – They are available 24 hours a day

Minor Injuries and Illness Unit

This is a nurse led service provided for health advice and treatment of minor accidents and illnesses. This is based at the City Care Centre on Thorpe Road, Peterborough, PE3 6DB

They are open 8am to 8pm

The service can be contacted on – 01733 293 800

Can treat:

  • ear and throat infections
  • sprain and strains
  • broken bones
  • wound infections
  • minor burns and scalds
  • minor head injuries
  • insect and animal bites
  • minor eye injuries
  • injuries to back, shoulder and chest

They cannot treat:

chest pain, breathing difficulties, major injuries, stomach pains, gynaecological problems, pregnancy problems, allegic reactions, overdoses, alcohol-related problems, mental health problems, conditions likely to need hospital admission, and any problem usually dealt with by a GP.

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email.
  • If you need an interpreter.
  • If you have any other access or communication needs.
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible on 01733 371452.
